These terms cover every app published by ActioCognita LLC (“we”, “us”). The first part applies to all of our apps, however you get them. The next parts depend on how an app reaches you. Each app then has its own section for anything particular to it.

Your content
What you create in our apps is yours. We claim no rights to it.

Apps from Apple’s App Store
License
Apps you get from Apple’s App Store are licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms.
Subscriptions
Where an app offers a subscription, the price, the length of each period and any free trial are shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Test versions
Test versions we send through Apple’s TestFlight are also covered by Apple’s TestFlight Terms of Service. They may change or stop working at any time, and may be less reliable than a released version.
Apps distributed in other ways
We do not currently distribute any app outside Apple’s App Store and TestFlight. If we do, the license and any payment terms for that app will be published here before it is available, and the app will link to them.
FastNote
What the subscription is for
Writing new pages needs a subscription. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are offered, and new subscribers start with a free trial; the prices and trial length are shown in the app before you subscribe.
Your writing, in standard formats
You can export your pages in standard, open formats that you can open without FastNote or anything else from ActioCognita. Backups are for restoring into FastNote and use its own format.
If your subscription ends
You can always open, read, search and export everything you have written, and back it up. Until you subscribe again, new writing pauses, and Spotlight and Siri stop using your page headings and text; Spotlight can still find your pages by date and meeting.
